Library Media Center

Connecticut IB Academy Library

The Library Media Center provides a learning environment that supports students to develop skills in inquiry as well as curation and creation of information. The CIBA library challenges our students to seek appropriate information, to use sound methods of inquiry and research, and to question the information they find and use, with a focus on international-mindedness and interdisciplinary exploration.

About the Library Media Center

Hours: The Library @ CIBA is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM through 2:10 PM.

Circulation Procedures: Students can borrow up to four books at a time. Books are checked out for a four-week period and may be renewed unless the book is requested by another student or staff member.

Fines: There are no fines for overdue library books. Students who damage or lose books will be required to pay the replacement cost of the book.

Visiting the Library: students may visit the LMC during a scheduled study hall or lunch period. Students must get a pass to the library from a teacher, then sign-in at the front desk and sit in the section told to them by the librarian.

Classes that use the library and its resources are scheduled with the teacher and the librarian.
