RESEARCH MADE EASY

There are two major sources to use when completing academic research at CIBA. First, students can use the Destiny catalog system to locate print sources that are available at either CIBA or EHHS. Second, students can search on provided data bases.

DESTINY CATALOG SYSTEM

The Library circulation laptop is always logged on to the Destiny search page.Students can also access this search page from any computer.They must log on to the school website and open the Library@CIBA page. Directly under the picture there is a link that will open the Destiny search page.
Students may type in a key word, author, title or topic in the search bar.A list of available resources will be displayed.
Print sources can be located within either Library by their call number.If a source is ‘local’, it is part of the CIBA collection.If a sources is ‘off-site’, it is part of the EHHS collection.All students are free to use both collections.

DATA BASES

Students should log onto the school website, and then go to the Databases tab.
On the left sidebar several subheadings will appear under the Library page.Students should click on the ‘data base’ page.
Multiple data base options will appear.
ICONN.org is an excellent wide-ranging data base.
- Click on ICONN.org
- Click on ‘For High Schools’ on the left hand side
- Multiple data bases will appear
- Academic Search Premier is an outstanding general data base
- Select other data bases (Biography Reference Center, Science Reference Center, History Reference Center, etc.) based on the topic being researched
